585 Glenwood is owned by Charles Geno Marsala, a former Atherton council member and Mayor. Charles is currently the President of the American-Italian Federation of the Southeast, a member of the Conference of Presidents of Major Italian-American Organizations, a Division Vice-President for the Italian Sons and Daughters of America, and an Area Coordinator for the National Italian American Foundation.
He is active with promoting trade between Italy and America.
In 2014, He founded AWE News which produces a TV-show for WLAE-TV, a PBS Station in New Orleans Louisiana, titled “Celebrating Culture.”
AWE News has received three Suncoast Regional Emmy Nominations, twice been a finalist in the Russo Brothers Film Competitions, received three grants from NIAF for Italian-American Documentaries, and currently working on a Route 66 Documentary.
